Funeral Cakes

Last Saturday Night our family lost a member. She passed on about an hour after we had left. Anyway, her Funeral will be This Thursday 8/22 which coincides with her Birthday. So she will be buried ON her Birthday.

Would it be appropriate to have Birthday Cake either AT the funeral or After the Funeral?

I am sure there are many here who have dealt with something like this before. Thank you for your thoughtful responses.

Sorry for your loss. I have always thought a funeral should be a celebration of someone's life. I think having cake after the funeral would be great. Maybe have a picture and sing happy birthday. Having cake at the funeral I would probably avoid but it depends on the venue.

I think it would be a great way to remember her. What kind of person was she? Im sure it will offend someone but who cares.
