Read with interest post on problems securing ranch house from home invasions.

I live in a ranch house with attached garage same as the home invaded by Isreal Keyes.

I was wonder what you thought of products like mace door jammer in typical rancher with hollow core doors. May not buy you much time. However, if Keyes moved through the house in 5 seconds or so, it might buy a few valuable additional seconds. With hollow core door and hinge screws in framing it will not take much to breach. However, if invader is using his body rather than breaching tool I can see him getting some splinters, which might slow him down a bit.

Anything that slows down the intruder, helps. Hollow core doors need to be replaced at the first opportunity.
