Pearce Grip Extension+2. Not holding 12 rnds
I just installed one and I can't get 12 rounds in the mag. It says it it will hold 2 more rounds but all I can get in the mag is 11. I'm missing something?

depending on the round used, most of the pearce extensions that say +2 means +2 for 9mm only. if you are using 40 or 357 it only gives you +1

if the mags are pretty new then the springs are just stiff. my 15 rounders were almost impossible to get that last round in when they were new. I loaded them up with 14 and let them sit for a few days and then shot them off, when I went to load them again the last round was tight, but it went it. My 27 mags with the +1 plates are still hard to get the last round in. Also when you load them up bounce them a few times when they are filled half way or so to make sure the bullets are seated in the mag properly and the follower is in the right position.

I can only fit 11 rounds in the mag comfortably on my G26.

mine say PG-39. I have had them for a few years, so that may be an old part number or something.

Good grief......
I don't know what has changed, but apparently something has, the
PG-2733 have always worked just fine in the past, all four of the one's on my G26 mags give an extra two rounds with no trouble.
I think something has changed with the newest magazines......either that or new shooters are really weak.
I'm sure that Pearce isn't making the PG-2733 smaller.

You are not missing anything. I got a Pearce + 2 for my G27 (.40 cal) and for awhile I could not get that 11th round in no matter what I did. I thought something was wrong.
Like NYresq says I too had load up the mag with 10 rounds and let it sit for a week or so then unload it or take it to the range. Always keep it loaded while not at the range and eventually the 11th round will go in. Soon you will be able to get the 11th round in and once it is in keep it loaded at all times.
My guess is the spring loosens up over time then becomes so easy to load 11th round. Keep at it.

I just tried a different ammo, some winchester 115gr FMJ range ammo and it fit 12 just fine, guess its just my carry ammo which is Magtech 124gr JHP I can only get 11 rds in, the 12rd is really a super tight squeeze an most likely cause feeding issues

Pearce Grip PG-2733 says +2 in 9mm but It's too hard to get the second one so I only put +1 in mines.

Mag problem
This may be an old post but I just found out why I was unable to get 12 rounds in with the pearce extension. The spring holder on the bottom is not needed with the G26. If you look at the part is says only use with M27 and M36. After taking it out I was able to load all 12 just fine.
Hope this helps.

Is that you Bren?
I also think they are not worth using. I put a +3 on one of my G26 mags and I could only get 11 in that one. Plus they pinch the hell out of your fingers. Go with a G19 magazine and an X-Grip.

leave the 11 in for a few days and then try to put the 12th in with a loader. if that still doesn't work then try smacking the bottom of the mag on a hard surface. my 10rd g26 mag was like that for a few days when i first got it. I swore it would never fit that 10th round but eventually it did.

See this is an old thread but, get yourself an Uplula, it will get that last round in there:

Picked mine up at the Liberty PX in Baghdad, works great on those stiff 9mm mags.

I have a PG-39 which is +3. It only holds two. For my G26. An elephant could sit on top and not get in a third round.

The scoop.
I just put the pearce mag extension on my gun. First off the original Glock mag does not come off all that easy, Its not a simple press in the sides. I had to put the floor plate on my work bench and hit it with the palm of my hand to get it free. Once done I put in the accompanied floor plate retainer. This is the problem, the mag spring and or rounds get hung up on it and I could barley get 11 in. I removed the assembly and then had to cut a bit off the end of my original flat floor plate so the pin would drip into the retaining hole. Once this was done I took some sand paper and smoothed off the edges. If you notice there is no room in front of the hold for the original to slide past. After assembly the mag now easily holds 12 rounds. I like the design of the spring holder and how it snaps into place but it also hangs up on the rounds and spring so its a fight to get 11 in. Its not you guys its the design of the retaining plate.

You are limp-wristing.
Let another shooter try it.

I bought a new glock mag that already had the +2 on it. The package said 12rd mag. A year later I still only get 11 in that thing. I went back to the 10rd mag because the 11 rds in that one was about as long as a g19 mag.
