Any good gun shops near Fort Hood?

One of my boys just got stationed at Fort Hood after a year+ in Korea. He's thankful to be back stateside and wants to start shooting again...He says they actually sell guns on base but a tiny selection and the prices suck. Any of you guys know of a great shop within an hour of base?

Apparently not.

I did a quick Google search and only seen one that had a site didn't post because they charged $75 for a FFL transfer so I wouldn't want to imagine their gun prices.

The Gun Shop app on my iPhone gives a bunch of places in and near Killeen. WM, Dick's, and a bunch of small stores and pawn shops.

Should be easy to find something.

I'm in Killeen right now (this is my last day). I haven't seen much in the way of gunshops, other than a couple. Haven't had time to stop in though.

Does the PX own base do FFL transfers?
