My new EDC gun... The mighty G20
I traded away my G39 and got the G20. I was a bit skeptical going from the baby GAP to a full size powerhouse like the 20. However, I don't have a single regret. I love this gun! Carrying daily is nowhere near the issue I thought it was going to be. In fact, I really don't notice that much of a difference, honestly. I carry iwb at 3 o'clock with a MIC holster and it's awesome. I carried my G39 that way for over a year. At the range, I was yet again surprised. The recoil, while a bit jumpier, is not difficult to manage at all. In fact, I am far more accurate with my 20. I used Underwood 155s so they were definitely hot loads. All in all, I am very pleased with my transition to the G20 and I really don't see myself owning a baby Glock again. Compact size is the smallest I would go at this point. So, what to get next?

the G20 with a true 10mm load is the real deal, but most folks cant handle 10mm power nor a full size gun so they carry smaller guns with weaker ammo...its hard enough to get folks to carry a gun of any sorts let alone a duty sized weapon.

Awesome choice!
Since buying my G29SF and soon thereafter my G20SF, I rarely carry anything else. It's finally cold enough here for outerwear that will conceal the G20, so it's been getting a lot of road time too. Just ran my first ever home made 10mm rounds through her on the range the other day. Holy crap! But I still have my fingers and no damage to the gun. WooHoo!
Congrats OP. the 10 is pretty much the "Do Everything" caliber.

I tote my 20sf in an IWB daily. When I first started carrying way back when It was a full size 1911 IWB so I just got used to carrying a full size weapon.
A pretty smart fella once said " carrying a gun should be comforting, not comfortable."

Good choice!
I carried my G20SF during the cooler months 24/7, but since moved to my G29SF because I had to sell one of my Glock 10's and needed something I could carry in the cummer AND winter.
Enjoy that sweet pistola!

I have both, but I carry a G29 with a 4.5" (?) aftermarket barrel. I'd get approximately the same speed as the stock G20, but it feels a lot lighter while packing the same punch.
My G20 now have a 6" barrel.
Then if I can get to my car... oh baby!

Great choice on the G20. Any other carry firearm, is a lesser gun! And yes, I am aware, that a Dessert Eagle is more.

You'll need one helluva rig to carry all the mags he has.

I feel sorry for my other Glocks. My G30 has a new TLR-3 and has been relegated to nightstand duty and my G19 and G26 have pretty much become range guns since I got my G29SF. I carry it everyday in an M-Tac.
