I have Instructor's belts in coyote and black. The black is fine, but I've never really liked the coyote color. A dark brown or cordovan would suit me better. Wondering if I can use RIT dye? I've never used it before. Would it rub off on clothing? Would it damage the velcro?
Look into spray dye made for automotive interiors. SEM is a common brand and I have used it on vinyl, leather, carpet, plastic, fabric, etc. Easy to use and is fast drying and setting.
Prep by wiping with rubbing alcohol to remove oils and use multiple light coats.
