Hamas rockets
Quick questions
Who is supplying the rockets to the so called militants?
How are they getting into the region?
How is it that they are so seemingly hard to find?
It has been my experience that rockets require launchers and that they aren't small. Is the media referring to shoulder launched RPG type?

all via our long time allies Egypt
We have been paying them both lots of $$$ not to go to war again with each other for a long long time.

Some rockets are home made. Some are supplied by countries like Iran.
They smuggle them from Egypt through a system of underground tunnels from the city across the border.
They hide them underground, inside houses etc. the area is heavily populated. Lots of houses, warehouses etc.
They are launched from home made launchers. Some require only a piece of metal that is aimed in the general direction of the target.
The bigger rockets are mounted on trucks which are hidden in garages etc. then go out and shoot from a nearby street and hide again.
The Hamas had years to arm themselves with rockets. They smuggle cars in the underground tunnels so rockets are not hard to smuggle.

Israel bombs the tunnels every once in a while but one side is in Gaze and the other is in Egypt. You can't really go to Egypt and tell them you are looking for tunnels.
And yes, some are that big. The ground there is soft and easy to dig through.

The IRA had an old trick where they'd place their homemade rockets in vans with plastic pop-up vents just like you'd find on vans and campers here in the USA. Park, open it up, let it fly, crank it back down and continue on your way. HH

The news just suggested that it is possible that war on the border may be imminent. They also said that Hamas fired over 100 rockets at Israel today. Does anyone know offhand what is the minimum number of rockets fired per day before it is war?

Rockets have been fired DAILY into Israel since 2005. Israel has been patient for too long.

Really? They are all "muslim" brothers....and read the "one and only" SAME... `Book of peace (there is not two different books)...and desire the same out-come for the western world....

What he means is Arab countries treat Palestinians as second class citzens refusing to grant them citzenship , letting them only hold service/menial jobs
But the second Israel attacks the West Bank every Arab leader clambers to the cause of Palestine

Yes, really. Palestine has been screwed harder by the Arab states than by anyone else.
Did you ever wonder why they still live in those refugee camps after all these years? It's because countries like Jordan and Syria won't let them immigrate.

The "Qassam" rockets they refer to are really just a type of improvised rocket and launcher.

Israel makes it pretty tough to get even legitimate supplies and aid to Gaza, so it's not like anyone's driving a SCUD TEL through some huge well lit underground tunnel.
They're just broke, desperate people conducting asymmetric warfare... not uncommon these days.

I think the Palestinians in this picture should be impailed on their rockets and fired toward Iran.
