Doesn't sound like the kind of behavior I'd like to see from a cop, regardless of the reputation of the suspect.

I only hope that when this unstable idiot snaps and acting in a blind rage he unloads his pistol into someone, I can only hope it is someone involved in his getting his job back.
He WILL snap and someone WILL be badly hurt or killed.

After watching those videos that is not someone that should be a cop, probably shouldn't even own a gun as a citizen.

So a Cop can threaten folks, even innocent folks, and get his job back?
I really don't understand. Just one of those things.

The raging fool doesn't even want his job back. He wants to live off the backs of the producer class of Ohio, and is trying to get his disability gravy.

Because cops are held to a lower standard than civilians.

As the article says he can get his job back as long as he can get medical clearance. If as seems likely his medical claim is PTSD the chances of him getting his job back fall between slim and none.
Between his antics and a claim of PTSD he is all but unemployable in LE. And THAT is as it should be.

Does a medical evaluation include a mental evaluation? Or is the required medical evaluation strictly blood work and reflexes type of medical?

"Medical evaluation" is a catch all phrase that includes Mental evaluations, the only person that could make a acceptable diagnosis of PTSD is a psychiatrist and they are Licensed medical doctors who have to have their medical degree before they can even get a psychiatric degree or license. ( most have medical degrees in Neurology before going for Their psychiatric degree.)

I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline, but was his diagnosis of PTSD made after he was fired? If so, I find his claim of disability to be somewhat suspicious.

What will determine his ability to get compensation is on what basis he is claiming the disability. IIRC his claim of PTSD was connected to his military service not his police work. Thus it would not be compensable under State workers compensation.
He would have to try for Social Security Disability income.

According to Sam Spade that cop is a stand up guy who was 'twisted' by the job and deserves retirement with full disability pay. roflmao

From what I've learned in the Boston bombing threads, you must always have a warrant. For anything.

OK, so he exercised his legal right and took his case through arbitration (again, as is his right). Lo and behold, the hearing officer found he had a cause of action to get his job back (as long as he passed a medical review).
His case is probably one of thousand the arbitration board hears every year, year after year.
All of a sudden, posters on GT hate him simply because (the arbitration found in favor of him...) he's an ex-LEO?

I don't hate him however he is a piece of crap that doesn't deserve to be a cop. Did you watch the three videos posted in the first link?

You mean, the end justifies the means?
For his case because he's LEO, or in ANY and EVERY case where injustice is present?
Tell me what your standard is.

You've obviously not watched any of the videos.
People, including cops, hated this guy long before he ever went to arbitration.
Watch the videos. You might have a different view of this thread.

Oh, he's not planning to come back right away... he's on workers comp... I bet you he is a sissy. You can tell in his videos, he's all bowed up but that's only because he has a badge and a gun.
Karma will get him eventually. They say, you ask for trouble, you're going to find it. He is asking for it. I'm sure he picks his victims wisely. He would probably run from a real thug.
