So, what's the answer to this life question?

Why do franks come in packages of 10 and buns come in packages of 8? Has anyone solved this mystery yet?

I figured out the missing sock phenomenon, but the dog:bun ratio problem still has me baffled.

Helped a friend take apart his malfunctioning washing machine some time back and discovered a sock stuck in the pump. I had always suspected washing machines eat socks but that night pretty much proved it.

Yep, I blame the low carb thing...there is always going to be somebody at the party that won't want the bread.

You must have graduated from a private school to be able to figure that out.

I always eat 2 rite out of the package.

Remember the good old days at the country store you got them wrapped in paper, opened it and ate them on the way home?

You know what's in a hot dog? Weiner!

I suspect it has something to do with always having some of one left so you're prompted to buy more of the other to use them up. The cycle continues until either you get sick of them, the math finally works out or somebody makes beanie weenies.

Companies are brilliant at finding ways to get you to buy their product.

Heck, these days you have to graduate from private school just to figure out that 10 franks do not match 8 buns.

If you take 2 franks from the 10 pack and cut them into quarters and take each of the quarters and add to each of the remaining 8 you'll end up with 8 bun-length franks.

And what do you do if the franks in the 10-pack are already bun length?
