Mounts for Aimpoint 9000L on a Colt M4

Was wondering if anyone could suggest any types of mounts that would work well with this combo. The ones that came with it don't fit (I don't want to remove my forward iron or handguard) and require a wrench to put it on. Was looking for something lightweight/low profile and that I could remove by hand if needed yet also leaving me room for a rear BUIS if possible?

Any suggestions?

There are no specific mounts for the 9000 series Aimpoints for use with an AR-15 that I know if. You're going to need 2 30mm rings of the correct height, though.

Definitely not an ideal optic for an AR, mostly due to size.

An LT104 will work, but that scope is not optimal for the rifle.

I agree with the others, that is not a optimal optic for a AR. It would work just fine, just big and heavy for what it does.

You would be good to go with a Burris PERP 30mm QD mount, or two Warne 30 QD rings(high).

My two cents is sell the 9000L or use it on a different gun, and buy a Aimpoint Pro for your AR.

Yeah, thanks guys, I was going for the Aimpoint Pro but this one just sort of fell in my lap for free, and who am I to turn down free? Aimpoint Pro does seem to be the way to go but I figured I may try this thing out and see how it goes. Does seem too big/heavy though.

I've got a CAA DVSR mount that I bought a couple years ago and did not use. You're welcome to try it if you like.

It's a clone of the KAC mount for the Aimpoint 5000

This will give you an idea.

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated! I think I am going to go with something smaller though and probably do an Aimpoint PRO down the line here. Might even just use the good old irons for a while too.

Thanks again for the offer!
