Stippled G-30s

I hesitated for a while about doing this but after handling a friends 30, I was too impressed to not try my hand at stippling and take out the finger grooves. I think it came out ok but the grip is completely improved for my use and feel. I have to admit I was a bit nervous going in. I obviously need to smooth out the trigger guard some. Want to read up on what others did to get a more solid looking finish.

ETA: I know this isn't everyone cup of tea or preference and what not, it wasn't mine and I was against permanently modifying the grip until I shot about 250 rounds through a stippled and groove-less Glock. It changed my mind and made me want to try it out.

Looks like some fur! Is it hard to put on? I'm sure it feels darn good in the hand!

I was thinking it looked fuzzy too. I just stippled my first AR grip last week. Turned out decent. Would take a while before I felt comfortable moving up from a $20 grip to a $500 grip.

This^^^. I don't care for it, but that's just me. If it's a gun you plan on keeping forever and ever it's good. Because it kills any and all resale value to me.

If it works for you that's all that matters. Its merely a tool to protect yourself and if this adds more control over the gun for you, by all means.
I usually would go with some talon grips if I'm looking for more "grab", im not big on having my frames messed with that cant be reversed if i decide i dont like it....but that's me.

On the bright side you never have to worry about someone stealing it.

It looked hairy to me when I first saw it. It's like a cross between handgun and beast.

Haha, I do like it quite a bit. Yeah it didn't turn out pretty that's for sure, but function is pretty nice. I have an extra 30SF grip so if I absolutely hated it, I could have switched out grips for a stock one and been good to go.

I'm not sure I follow. You have another SF frame?

What is the purpose of stippling the area in front of the slide lock lever? I see it on almost all stipple jobs.

Was anyone else hoping he'd break it out of the ice and shoot it, forgetting that the barrel had an ice plug in it?
