Hello all! I just bought a Glock Gen 4 19 with USA Made stamps all over it.

I was wondering if this gun had the Tenifer finish on it?

Also are these pretty rare or are they a common thing?

I bought it in case the AWB is passed or some other anti american laws pass.

I just bought a Gen 3 G19 with USA stamped on the slide. It has the US stamp on the barrel also. It was test fired on 11/20/12.

tenifer is not a finish...it's a metal treatment.....the usa glocks are becoming more and more availiable...so rare...not really

Glock no longer uses a Tenifer process, but a similar process legal in the USA.

Just so one understands the exterior finish that one sees and feels on the the exterior of the gun depending when it was produced,is neither Tenifer or the Gas Nitro process. It is a finish applied over either of the two depending on which was done to the metal at the time of production.
