[Glock19EXO]

Has anyone tried a set of ghost ring sights for a glock? My 19 still has the factory white sights, no good for low light shooting. Wanting to try some nights sights and the ghost ring sights looks like they would be fairly accurate with easy target acquisition. Any comments would help.

Uhm...to put it simple, I don't think it would be worth a darn.

A ghost ring on a rifle or shotgun works because your eye is close to the rear and can look through and ignore it. when you move it to arms length you lose that benefit.

I can't "see" it working at all in some form of a night sight. Certainly not to any advantage over the more common designs.

I've wondered about these, too, and almost pulled the trigger on a set the last time I ordered sights just to see for myself.

I think the Ghost Ring concept sounds good, but have yet to hear of one person that has actually shot *better* with that combo.

I know they are illegal in GSSF competition, which at first led me to believe they were an "unfair advantage", but maybe they were just so bad that spectators were getting wounded???!!!

I would love to hear some reports of those that have tried them. If they like them, why, and if not, what was wrong with them???

I had that set-up on a GP100 I used for deer and it worked great. I shot groups like I used too many years ago. It works great for hitting a moving target like a walking deer.

That makes sense. You have a lot more "Open space" to view the target with, so they should work well for tactical type situations where combat accuracy is needed more than competition accuracy is.

If you go to Ameriglo's site, they are on the pistol they use for their sights.

I think they look cool on a gun, but wonder if they would be a pain for CCW?
