Why is it, some politicians will automatically look to cut Police, Fire or DOT, when they are forced to pare down their budgets? I rarely see them cutting budgets for their own staffs or the staffs of their political appointees.

It shows, to me, a willingness to pander to their base, whose sole support is and likely always will be, on the taxpayer's dole. Let's hit taxpayers up for more money. If they see the loss of services they depend upon, to run an orderly, safe and secure society, they'll pony up the extra tax money, or (I love this one) "Contributions".

I see Kaine as nothing more than another eager rubber stamp for Obama and his policies. He will represent the interests of the Socialist Democrats first and the citizens of the Commonwealth, somewhere after that.
