I commend your ability to avoid acknowledging reality. I'm sure it is a very effective coping mechanism.

Basically this is what it's come to. No coherent arguments against pot legalization, just lots of accusations and insinuations that anyone in favor of pot legalization must be a pothead from people who obviously need every reason they can muster to feel superior to others. Kind of how some portray all gun owners as crazy dangerous gun nuts.

This is why legalization is starting. For the same reason that CCW has become so prevalent. Because people are tired of the anti's weak ass arguments that don't hold up.

Me either. But I know a few people who have cards. They use the same dealer as before they got their card.

Simple people argue and "think" with emotions not reason.

They all think the Constitution is chock full of silly laws

They think those silly laws shouldn't be obeyed since they aren't in line with what they want to do.

I think I understand where your coming from.......

Something tells me that if it is legalized, there will be masses of people with strange illnesses all of a sudden that will all require the usage of pot to allow them to, "Cope" with it.

What's worse is I'd be willing to bet the tax payers will have to support their habit that they will claim isn't a habit but a medical condition.

You're a conservative right? Believe the Constitution should be followed as written?

Point me to the part that gives the federal government authority to regulate marijuana, please.

Point to me a part that doesn't allow for it?

Why's that? I'm actually assuming the same about you.

Can you point me to it or not?

C'mon. You're better than that.

A good conservative who spouts off about the COTUS would know that the Constitution doesn't work that way. Federal power must be granted in the Constitution and granted by the states. See the 10th Amendment.

Then see the 9th amendment.

I stand corrected, I forgot about Amendment #28.

A well grown stash of pot, necessary for the satisfaction of a drug abusers addiction, the right of the people to grow and use pot shall not be infringed.

Oh wait.......

That's not in there!

So you're actually a Progressive who supports a living, breathing Constitution?

Or is it that you subscribe to a liberal reading of the commerce clause? Obama certainly does, so you have that going for you.

Conservatives like you always crack me up because you don't realize that -- well -- you're actually a Progressive.

Maybe you can help me with this one: Why is it the government required a Constitutional amendment to prohibit the sale and consumption of alcohol but didn't require an amendment to do the same for a plant?

So you'd be cool with the reinstatement of alcohol prohibition I take it?

That's not a argument. The states have their own elected officials in Washington. Each state had a say on drug laws in the past and voted for the laws to be the way they are.

he states did have a say in it and pass into laws that put forth the regulations at the Federal level.

That's why it's illegal. So even if a state decides to say it's now legal, it's not and won't be until the current laws are changed or repealed.

This just goes to show you how lawless people have become. They don't care that something is illegal as long as it suits them.

That's one of the many things that's wrong with society in general.

Would you stop telling your mother you loved her if it was made illegal?

Probably not.

Not on alcohol but on those individuals that kill people because they can't control themselves and cause injury or death to others because they aren't responsible.

I'd like to tell my mother that I love her but she was killed by a drunk driver when I was 13 along with my younger sister.

You still smoke pot and it's illegal so what's your point?

Please don't deflect.

The obvious answer is that no, you wouldn't stop telling her you loved her.
