off to Germany again. This time by car.
Btw found a new hobby: drinking champagne.
Now I am planning to have at least one different bottle per month. Never thought it's that good

Not much here. Just sitting at work watching a cold front pass through.

We got about 10 inches of snow Friday/Sat, welcome to winter all at once. On the bright side, I went to see my nephews band play again last night and while they didn't win the competition (should have IMHO) I did win a Gretsch, Brian Setzer edition Hot Rod guitar from their raffle!

I HATE the way snow crunches under my feet!!! Weird I know, but that's why I will never be able to move up north.
Congrats on winning the guitar though!

Had a nice, mild day in the 60's and was warm enough for short sleeve tee shirts again.

Yesterday my department finished up lowlight qualifications. This afternoon my wife and I went to the range to scrounge brass. God bless her, she sat for two hours with me going through buckets of brass. A lot of it had been walked on and damaged, but I still came away with a several thousand pieces of .40 and .223 brass. There was more for the taking but we were both growing weary of sorting through it. What a woman!

I took a break and vegged out on Netflix. I also helped a little bit on clean up after the bake sale and rummage sale for my daughter this last Saturday. Then we had a chili dinner after church service.
All this election stuff wore me out. I couldn't sleep well wondering who my boss might be. The decisions have yet to be made for the department appointment.

Cool that your range will allow that.

God bless our veterans for giving us this beautiful country. Pray for its continued prominence as a shining beacon of freedom to the world. Please make all the libs go away and GTFO... so my country can be great once more.

Cool that your wife allows that! I'm afraid to speculate where she'd stick the brass if I asked the wife to help me do that. But it rhymes with brass. Ohh the irony!

If you hate the way snow feels under your feet, you'd REALLY hate the way it feels on the end of a shovel... about 500 times in a row! Actually it's good relaxing work when it comes, but my old shoulder and back aren't up to it like they used to be.
The guitar has been pretty fun though. I've played since high school, but not much the last few years so it's kind of motivated me. My kid plays and totally loves the thing.
Downside is I looked up the value online and about crapped my pants. $2700. Kind of hard to justify keeping it just because the kid digs it when it could go to a lot of other stuff.
Oh well, you only live once huh?

Had a good weekend with the Wife for her Birthday. Light snow is falling now, and 24 hours ago it was almost 70 out!
This is my annual invitation to all of CT that if you are in Michigan for Thanksgiving stop by for a plate and a cup. We always make WAY too much food and we gladly open our doors to who protect and serve.

The wife and I were getting ready to go out for a some food and some shopping.
I throw my shirt on and something says "see if you can clear your holster". The shirt got hung up on it so I changed my shirt.
Wife asked why did I change my shirt, so I explained the problem. The look on her face was priceless!
After typing this out I realised it was on of those "you had to be there" moments. But I took the time to type it out, so I'm not going to cancel my post!!

Not a hot dog fan so I've never tried theirs, but I'll agree with you on the food part.

They have both all beef and polish hotdogs. I recommend the polish one. The beef is too strong tasting for me.

Went in to work and it was in the 60s and raining. I come out, it's in the 20s and my car is half frozen shut. Gotta love this Ohio Valley weather.
