I've been using a great free version of an entersect/accurint type data search warehouse website for verified LEO's only. Drop me a PM and I will give you the details if you are interested and I will give you the info, don't want to put it out public here.
Some great tools on there...admin will like you since it is free.

When you climb into one, you realize how flimsy and thin all the walls are and how it's almost incredible that thing holds up at all.

That was my thought as well! Now the newer ones they had, the Cirrus SR20s and SR22s are badass, even if the cockpits are pretty small. Same with the Diamond DA42, but that's a pretty sweet-looking light twin. Those are all mostly composite airframes, with glass cockpits (analog instrument backup as well).

Was this at someplace or did you get a simulator for home?

Ever tried explaining to a woman in Pakistan that the problem doesn't lie in the wireless equipment but the fact that there's no line dropped from the pole to my house........
After she yelled at me several times I simply hung up, called back and cancelled my service.....
Had to wait a few days for the dude from the cable company to come out and get it squared away....
Verizon lost a customer and Time Warner made things cheaper and simpler...

If you call an old Commodore 64 with... 64K of RAM and a plug in joystick to be a "simulator", then yes, I got a simulator for home.

Lol, well you mentioned the collective, wasnt sure if there was a setup I wasn't aware of. I'd love to have something like that to plug into my computer..

Oh yeah... I wish... there are full simulator control setups for your computer, but back in the day, it was a simple plug in joystick and you use the keys for your cyclic and rotors.

I always wanted the f16 stick and thrust thingy. Had an old Microsoft joystick for Janes f15. That was a pita, especially the air refuelling. Someone knows that part?
It took me weeks till I made it. I was so pissed all the time.
The tanker plane could be called via radio then you got the way points and it was flying very wide circles (straight - way point - turn- straight again). I remember one time I tried to get the frigging refuelling thing in my plane for about 30 minutes. Then a second before it was in the tanker plane hit a way point and made its turn. Holy fokker I nearly threw my computer out of the window. lol.
