He's right, it's the Pachmayr American Legend or something like that. I've shot 1911's with that grip and it works very well to tame the recoil, but it does get thick with the rubber grippy things up front.

It looks really nice on a dark-framed pistol. I'm ordering a lightweight champ operator soon directly from Springfield. Thick can be a problem though. My hands aren't huge. I guess I can always send it back if it doesn't work.

Another happy ending (other than the ****** bag dying) -
A female deputy in my town responded to a domestic last night. The male half of the *********gery stabbed her in the face. She responded by reminding him that only a dumbass brings a knife to a gun fight. They will both survive after surgery.

Wait, the female deputy got stabbed in the face?
On my way to Shop w/a Cop, other than the fact I have to get up like it's a work day I'm excited. This is my first time doing it.

Yep, did Shop with a Cop back in the day. It was fun and watching the kids express their joy and thanks made it worth getting up at 6am to get to work.
Until the parents tried to muscle in the game and buy some stuff for themselves and use up the money, that is....

Some of the other guys had to put up w/jerk parents. It's to the point that we've voted to restrict parents to the front of the store only next year. I lucked out, the two boys that I shopped with had a sweet grandmother.

Only in SoCal... a few days before Xmas and it was mid-60's today. Got hot enough in direct sunlight to wear short sleeves and shorts for a while. Saw a lot of people walking around dressed that way.

It would be a Merry Christmas if anyone in the US knew how to make Christstollen.
The damn things here are as durable as railroad ties and as appetizing as well.
