Prayers for the victims, their families, and the first responders rushing to the scene.

It's April 15 - tax day. My money is on an anti-government terrorist, most likely extreme right wing, along the lines of McVeigh. He chose the most visible large crowd at midday on tax day.

This is going to be interesting.
Prayers to the victims and their families.
A third device was found unexploded? This sounds sophisticated. Stay safe all first responders.

Update 4:07 p.m.: Newtown families were reportedly seated in the VIP section right by where the explosions went off. There's no word whether they are among the 23 injured and two dead from the explosions.

IMO, from the color and sound from TV and the ripping off of limbs, I am thinking this was a high level type detonation not the typical home brew explosive. Of course I am ready to be corrected, just a limited amount of experience talking.

Sean, you might as well start prepping now for all the stupidass threads that our resident conspiracy jerkoffs will be starting for years to come.

That was my thoughts as well, especially since information suggests the devices were stashed in trash cans. Though I'll fully admit my experience is limited to military explosives, and not anything homebrew.

It just seems like the signature of a high order detonation to me. But I'm not as experienced as many and am just going on first blush.

My first impression was nails/ball bearings. What a mess. Prayers.

NBC currently reporting that the JFK Library incident is an electrical fire and is not related to the bomb incident.

A report I read claimed two additional devices were located and destroyed. I recall multiples of five from a training a few years back. The theory was that if they had five teams, one would get caught, one would chicken out, and three would succeed...or something along those lines.

Early reports coming out indicate kudos to the Boston cops for running a tight and competent ship in the wake of all the mayhem.
