Battle mug...

Has anybody else seen this?

http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/edf..._headline_edfc

I had a hard time deciding where to post this-- almost posted it to the BRF.

It has been posted here a dozen times give or take. Too bad the price never changes. If it sold for say $25-$40 dollars I might buy one as a gag gift. But for $200 you can buy a lot of things

My apologies for the redundancy. Yeah, $200+ is a bit steep, but you could mount a tactical light and an Aimpoint on it.

I've never seen it before, but it's possibly the biggest waste of money I've ever seen to drink coffee.

You go ahead and buy that. Morning coffee is worth more than saving a few dollars when it comes to me and mine. I wouldn't trust my coffee to anything that was not built to TDP.

Or Bushmaster?

Why hasn't someone made a polymer or cast aluminum version. Saving all of that machining on billet stock would really bring down the price for us peons.

The mug's handle is not properly staked. You will eventually spill your coffee with hard use.

Not to mention beat the stuffing out of someone with it if you can't bring a weapon (on an aircraft for example).

You guys can laugh all you want, but if Obama gets re-elected you'll wish you stocked up on these while you still could.

I'll just buy a bunch of Mug lowers, and build my mugs later when I have the money.

Who has the best price on stripped mug lowers? And is a mug lower a mug lower, as long as they are all in spec?

I have heard reports that some of the commercial mug lowers have out of spec drink wells....

Just think if they made that thing completely out of polymer you could sneak it past airport security and no one would know..............of course they would steal it.
