Any Prince fans out here?
I listen to Metal, Rock, Classic Rock and Alternative but I always thought Prince was a example of pure talent and his songs IMHO kicked ass! Anybody else agree with me on this?
His greatest song IMO

Definitely a true musician. I always enjoyed him and thought that Purple Rain was a great soundtrack.

The tribute to George Harrison where he played onstage live with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Windwood and a few others is one of my favorites. Very talented guy!

Is he no longer The Artist Formerly Known as Prince?
Is he now Prince, formerly known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince?

I think he is just a symbol now and prefers to be called nothing but only recognized as the symbol

M&P Shooter, but if one is only a symbol, how does one address him? "Mr. Symbol, pleased to meet you?"
Can anyone pronounce the symbol? Is it the same symbol as when he was The Artist Formerly Known as Prince?
Does he get irritated when people call him Prince?

I don't care for his music at all. Just not my thing, I guess.

He is back to just Prince now. He was an unpronounceable symbol when he was in contract disputes with Warner Brothers (& the Warner Sister Dot). Remember when he appeared live at either MTV music award or the Grammy's with SLAVE wrote on his face.

I am not much of a fan of his music but I saw him live and he is a phenomenal musician. The die hard fans where angered by the fact that he did most of the hits solo with a acoustic guitar but it had to be one of the better shows I have seen

Kinda like one of his back up signers, who used to be known as Vanity? What is it she was going by a few years ago? Evangelista? Reverend? Denise Matthews?
It amused me to see her religious conversion when I read about her and Nikki Sixx in Motley Crue: The Dirt.

I got a new puppy and wasn't sure if it was boy or girl.
So I named it-
Wait for it-
Prince.

I saw him in concert 31 years & 2 days ago. We booed him off the stage and the other acts came on, George Thorogood then The J Geils Band. Then the headliner, The Rolling Stones. I think it was The Stones first "Farewell Tour".

I'd post my one and only favorite song of Prince, but I think that the thread would be locked and I'd get another infraction.
