I'll bring the fuzzy dice for the rearview mirror.

That movie was pretty beast, I remember seeing it a long time ago. I enjoyed it!

A really beautiful car as a monster. What a concept.

The book was terribly sad...King definitely captures how it feels to be a maligned nerd and outcast in school (Carrie covers it well, also)

Not like I was a nerd or anything in high school.*

* and you know damn well I was. Critical thinking, reasonable intelligence, and a habit of shooting my mouth off with the blunt truth garnered me no friends. That and a penchant for dressing oddly and I sealed my own fate.

Dont mean to derail your thread but wanted to throw out another must see automobile horror movie. Pretty sure this is Steven Spielbergs first movie. It is a classic I watched over and over as a kid.

Christine is a great movie. As Adjuster said, Duel is worth checking out as well.

Duel was one of the biggest let-downs of any movie i've watched. The only redeeming quality was the amount of black smoke pumped out by the diesel truck. The car about to shake itself to death at 80+ mph was also somewhat interesting.

Not all of King's work translates well to the big screen but this was an excellent movie. His talent and imagination is unrivaled. A lot of people don't know that he wrote Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption. His writing ability isn't limited to just horror.

i know a few big sk fans that didn't know he does non-horror stuff too. "stand by me" and "dream catcher" come to mind.

It's fiction, I doubt a Plymouth Valiant would even do 80 mph

I remember seeing that movie as a kid, it was scary and gave me nightmares!
