SHTF - long gun selected - which Glock?
So all hell just broke loose. You have selected your long gun, but you really only really want to carry one handgun. Of your Glocks, which one would you take? Keep in mind your handgun is just a backup.
My choice, G19. Compact, light, good capacity. Rather save room and weight for AR mags.

I'd prolly pick a 9mm due to it being so readily available. G19 and a few happy sticks loaded with some NATO should get the job done.

Glock 19, no question. When the zombies come you want plenty of 33 round mags loaded and ready to go.
You could not go wrong with a G21 either, but the ammo is heavy and you have limited magazine capacity.

G23. 40 is just as readily available in my area as 9. Plus its what the local cops are carrying. And most importantly, its what I carry everyday and practice the most with.

Only one(!!!) Glock? Definitely the G19 on the hip.
However, for that real SHTF situation, I also have a G26 with a laynard hole drilled a la G19/G17. This way, I can tie a paracord around the G26 (keep the trigger covered with a Glock Sports Holster) and hang it around the neck. Little excess weight, no fear of loss.

17 for me. My long gun takes the same mags so I'm set.

17C. Definitely my 9mm even though I have a preference (because of caliber) for my 23C.

Well, in a SHTF situation, I would throw my G24 on my hip and my G23 in a backpack. If I have to choose only one it would be my G23. I would keep it running in 357 sig until I ran out of ammo, then switch the barrel out to the Glock OEM .40 barrel.

G35 w/ a conversion (to 9mm) and OEM barrel. Ideally, ammo availability shouldn't be a concern that way.

My G21sf on my hip, and my G36 in my cargo pants pocket. If I'm wearing a combat vest I may have my G26 in a cross draw position. I agree that 9mm is everywhere, but 45.ACP is also out their. My long gun is an AR15 in .223/5.56.

I recently got a G17 that was a LEO turn in. I read that Travis Haley in a recent interview discussed his EDC was a G17 that had the grip cut down to take G19 mags. I decided that this was probably the best option for a SHTF situation since I own multiple G19's. So...I sent mine off to have the modification done as well as a grip reduction.
