New H&K ordered!
Should be ready for pickup at LGS sometime next week.
Description from the invoice:
H&K P30 9mm, Light LEM, fixed sights, V1
Can't wait! I have to thank all the folks who have been writing about the good experiences (and some bad...) with their H&K pistols. You guys and gals are definitely bad for my budget.
It was really a toss-up between the P30 and the P2000 SK. My favorite holster maker has holsters available, and after handling one yesterday at one of my LGS, I pretty much decided to go with the P30. The one I checked out was a V3 DA/SA variant, with rear decocker button. However, all the good things I've read about the LEM trigger/Light LEM trigger prompted me to go with this particular version.
Thanks again for being candid and forthcoming on your reviews and comments, and I'll post pics as soon as I get it in my grubby hands.
I'm thinking that a couple hundred 124 gr. heavy loads should help break it in nicely.

I'm happy to hear you chose the P30 over the 2000sk. The P30 is a keeper for sure.

You will absolutely love that firearm. I carry one in basically the same set up (light LEM Trij night sights) every day. It's an awesome pistol. Really is.

Yep, mine would not cycle with 115 gr. loads at first, and just barely cycles now after about 500-600 rounds. 124gr or heavier is the way to go.

I've got a P30 40 LEM V1 and two P2K LEM V1s.
You're going to flip the first time you shoot the LEM V1.
It's one of the best trigger systems I've had the pleasure of shooting.
Picked up a HK45C yesterday and ordered a LEM conversion kit.
IMHO - LEM is the only way to fly!
And HK? Well they are called Bombproof for a reason.

My uncles P30 fed 115gr. ammo right out of the box, we didn't even clean the factory packing grease off it before firing.
Here it is all decked out with a X400 and a Raven Concealment Phantom.

Congrats on a great gun. I have a P30 that I considered selling on consignment because I was just thinning out my collection and it wasn't being shot much. After a few days, I was like, what is wrong with you? I went and picked it up and now it's back at home where it belongs. Have fun with her!!!

Nice gun.
I just can't warm up to that grip.
Love my USPF's though.

Thank you again, everyone, for your feedback on your H&K experiences. It was great to get the e-mail this morning from TGS that the order had already shipped!
Pics and a range report to follow.

I picked it up earlier today, and it's a really nice pistol, for sure. So nice that I had to grab it's cousin at another place while I was out anyway.
HK45:
Can't wait to get these out to the range!

LOL well done.
I'm trying to hold off on a full size HK45 myself.
In the last two months I've bought;
one P30 40, two P2000 357s and a HK45 compact.
To make matters worse I couldn't resist getting a
HK45CT extended threaded barrel and some extended 10 round mags.
Guess I built a HK45 Compact Tactical.

I had to look at the book to make sure I had the magazines loaded correctly:
...and the other one I picked up the same day:

I'm so jealous... I have pretty much most of the usp line (2 of each really) and a hk45ct, but no p30 or hk45 full size yet...
