Is it me, or did they put up a backdrop in the backround to try and hide the neighborhood in the picture?

Sorry to tell you, but it's the people in your community that are "victimizing" your community.

Of course. More gun laws equals less crime.
One can make fire with ice too.

If NY separated itself from the rest of the Us, I'd be completely fine with it. Just give us the Hall of Fame.

OK, using their logic. How about they make guns so they shoot straight when held upright. But, shoot at the ground when held sideways.
That would help out more than this or any bill with this intention.

NY would make a fine 'red state' if you excised NYC and a couple of upstate union cities .....

NY has ****ed itself, I have no pity for its citizens. Much like Illinois you let one cesspool of a city control the entire state's local and national politics.

“The system we use now only gives us about a 2 percent chance of identifying the gun for a given shell casing, and microstamping would make that process at least 25 percent more effective.”"
Great! You could increase your chances of identifying a gun to 2.5%! What a windfall!

Ok, let's microstamp casings with the firing pin of my pistol.
So now, a criminal can go to the range and pick up a casing ejected from my gun and place it at the scene of a crime he/she commited. Awesome idea.

NY or the USA, more gun laws only attack legal gun owners. How hard is it to understand, CRIMINALS DON'T CARE ABOUT LAWS!

So, trespass with a concealed carry is a 30 year sentence? Isn't that a bit "penalty does NOT fit the crime"esque?

Not this crap again.
At least Tom King is mentioned in the article, fighting against microstamping on behalf of us NY citizens. I pay my dues to NYSRPA
If you live in NYS, please join.
Hopefully the Senate will keep refusing to pass this anti-gun crap.

Or how about those criminals who use revolvers? No shell casings at the scene. Or with the advent of Al Gore's wonderful tool aka the Internet, bad guys could eventually learn where the microstamping is and knock off the numbers with sandpaper. Oh wait... they only knock off the serial number on their guns, right?
Microstamping... what a joke.
