Best choice

Wed. I am picking up new gen3 31 and it won't be long before the slide goes off to TSD and the frame to STG for some work, but I also want to add an extended mag release and slide release. In the past I have just used glocks parts. This time I wanna try different ones so what is my best choice? Vickers, TSD or someone I don't even know about and why ?

Thanks

A vickers mag release is the only mod i do to gen3s, its that good. If you are using the gun for comp shooting you might want to stick with factory parts.

Good luck with the mods to the slide! An RMR will be nice! Fifteen plus one rounds of 357 sig will also be nice

I can say that the Glock OEM extended mag release on my G24 drives me nuts. It catches on everything (it seems like) and is a pain with holsters. I have heard better things about the Vickers, IIRC. Someone will be along to chime in. As for me, I intend to put a standard mag release on my G24. I do like the extended slide release.

I used OEM (for my G30) but it wasn't extended enough for me so I switched to aro-tek.
So far so good but some people do not like it (interferes with the thumb & release the slide on empty mag unintentionally).

I have no problem with holster (comp-tac infidel).

I have heard this from others as well.

With my extended mag release I've never had trouble with unintentional mag release or interfering with my grip, but it does get in the way with holsters and catches on my clothing sometimes. It really isn't a huge deal, I just don't prefer it. The Gen 4 mag releases are awesome.

Ive read lots of stories of accidental mag releases with the oem extended mag release. The vickers is not quite as long and has rounded edges. Theres no way a holster could accidentally press it.
Something to consider on a ccw gun.
