Pics geez dude you made out like a bandit. I've dreamt of one for years. But in lovely never ending politcal stricken crap county. They are always like 1500 or so. Of course the pawn shops around here either can't sell toys or are watched closely. Sorry for runnin on, have fun with your new find.

Get some magpul mags. The factory mags are ifffy and lots of folks curse the rifle when the mags are at fault. If you have any other problems with reliability, first place to look is the buffer and spring, they are NOT the same as the AR15 and if they've been incorrectly replaced you're going to have trouble. Put the right parts in it and it should run like a scalded cat. I think you'll also like the accuracy.

Nice find! You often have to look at a ton of dogs before you find the deal (steal).
And for whoever said 'last gun of the year', I never say that until December 31st.

I wonder what the orignal guy got also. Probably around $400. I was told by the guy behind the counter that it hadnt even sat on the shelf for 10 mins before i walked in. I just happened to be stuck in traffic next to the shop and decided to go in for a few minutes waiting for traffic to die down. I guess it was just meant to be. Funny thing was i was just thinking earlier that morning about possibly trading some stuff to get one. Range report will come soon. Im on my way to go scope out some scopes!

The upper alone is 750 all day long, Bone stock lowers usually go from 450-500 then put on a Magpul ACS stock and aftermarket grip! You should read a few articles on Sniper Central about their reviews of the LR308. Mine shoots Sub-Moa out to 600 yards!

Well it won. 2006 American rifle mans rifle of the year. Guess they had some really crappy tests in 2006. I have another DPMS Ar that I've had for 4 years and over 10k rounds through it. I guess I should get rid of that piece of junk also since it treated me so horribly. Always a hater in the crowd lol.

DPMS is know garbage. However, it seems that their .308's do well. I can't say that I've ever heard of any serious issues w/ the LR's.
It does suck that he had to come into your thread and muddy it up like this.
I'm excited for you OP. I would like to get ahold of a .308 semi auto.

It is used but i cant even tell. Looks brand spankin new. Im in love with it and havent even shot it yet. If it shoot half as good as it looks i may never buy another rifle again.
