We already were. This may just speed things up, some.

It is a common practice for the Pope to pray in many different languages- same prayer, first one lanuage and then the next. That is why it is the Roman "Universal" Church. I personally saw JPII do it.
Maybe this is a step toward converting Muslims to Catholicsm?

There are millions upon millions of devout Arabic speaking Christians/Catholics. That has been the case for centuries. Are they somehow less worthy of papal attention?

He should pray in American! Always! Sheesh. Don't he know that even the original translation of the Bible, the King James Version is a bastardized version of American? The Apostles wrote and spoke in American.
I'm just offended.

Man love would be a major improvement for the Catholic Church since most of their love is directed towards young boys.

How will people react when they find out Pop Benny and The Papal JP2 (those are their rap names, right?) both recited prayers in... Esperanto.
I hope that mentioning such languages as these haven't caused any of the ladies who are reading to faint.

Things started going downhill for The Church when they stopped doing Mass in Latin...took away a lot of the magic of the whole deal. The changes made during Vatican II was a silly deal for The Pope....kinda' the same as the "New Coke" fiasco. Why mess with success for almost 2 thousand years???

Things like this make me want to burn down the internet. We were all better off when most people lived in little clearings in the woods with a patch of corn and squash to eat and the only contact they had with other people was with their cousins.

It's an article about the Pope speaking Arabic to Christians in France? Why are we supposed to be outraged? I did not realize that Glock10_20 was a Catholic? Learn something new everyday.

While I did attend mass and went to a Catholic school for several years (until mother superior told my parents I was no longer welcome because I refused to conform... imagine that!) I am not Catholic, Protestant, Baptist (even though I was baptized Southern Baptist) or any other religion for that matter.
I have my beliefs and they do not correspond with many of the organized religions. Sorry to disappoint. I posted the story with intention of humor.

To some extent you are correct, but the real problem is two fold, first organized religion dictating through fear and coercion how to practice and second... governments.
