Rotisserie BBQ chicken.
What's the best way to cook BBQ chicken in a rotisserie?
Do you only baste the bird with 10 minutes to go or do you use other condiments...
I'm getting ready for my second bird.

Depends on the sauce. If you're using a Carolina style sauce (vinegar base) you put it on at the beginning and it won't burn. If you're using a sweet sauce (sugar base) you have to wait and put it on at the end, as the sugar in it will blacken and burn if you cook it more than 10~15 minutes.

Never done BBQ in a rotisserie. We used to do this though and it was really good:
DELI ROTISSERIE CHICKEN
This recipes is straight from the grocery deli, where
that wonderful aroma of rotisserie chicken always
makes shoppers immediately hungry.
1 (4 to 5 pound) whole roasting chicken
1 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 Tbs olive oil
Take the giblets, neck, back, etc. out of the chicken.
Combine the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Rub the
chicken with the olive oil. Apply the dry rub all over
the chicken. Tie the wings and legs together and put
the chicken on the skewer. Install in rotissserie and
set timer for 1 1/2 hours. Time will vary depending on
rotisserie and size of chicken. Chicken is done when
skin is brown and crispy and juice out of chicken is
clear.
I would only apply sauce the last 15 minutes or so doing BBQ.

Never heard of BBQ & rotisserie together. By far the best thing to do with a chicken on a rotisserie is kosher salt & fresh ground pepper. Period. Spin it at 350 until the juices run clear and stroll into heaven.

The whole idea behind rotisserie is that the bird bastes itself.

Bingo!
The recipe I posted above really doesn't need sauce but if I were going to use it I would probably put it on at the table.

It doesn't have a temp setting. Don't know what it's set at.

The temperature under the hood on my gas Weber is 350 when I'm using the rotisserie - seems to work.
