OK there has been some talk lately about putting a G36 slide and barrel on a G30 frame and vise versa.

Let's put a different twist on this. Can a person put a G21 slide and barrel on a G30SF frame? If so is there a company that makes a dust cover extension that would cover up the exposed recoil spring and guide rod?

No, because the barrel locking lugs differ.
