Glocks putting brass in my face!
Everyone,
I have a Glock 34 and 26 that always seem to spit brass when I am firing into my face. Is this because of a worn extractor or recoil spring? My Glock 19 does not do this, and I have an aftermarket spring in it.
Thank you

1st step: wear a baseball cap, and glasses
2nd step: change ammo
3rd step; use search function - "BTF"

I'm a newb... But I've read that some early gen 4 Glocks were doing this and needed to be sent back for repair.

I do wear glasses, not always a hat. A hat wouldn't stop it all. Will do a search now on it. All types of ammo have the same affect.

Consider having someone else try shooting the Glocks or one of them at least. There are multiple things that can cause this, as discused in various threads here.

Many posts here have been about this issue---especially with 9's--ejector/extractor etc. etc.

I have had a sporadic empty fly toward me from any of several pistols including a couple Glocks. I do not think I have had one fly my way from my P226. I also think if I had 90,000 rounds of RA9TA to burn through I would be more inclined to use a Glock for that than a Sig. On the other hand if I had that kind of expendable ammunition I might not care as much about possibly wearing out a pistol, Sig included.

My old Gen 1 ---17 has never had a BTF problem---the 19 I bought 3 months ago did...Apex extractor and Gen 4 ejector solved it for me...

I had this problem with my Gen4 23. I took it to Glock in Smyrna for repair. They did not solve the problem so I sold it. It was the only gun I ever had that problem with. Never a had a problem with my Sigs, M&P, Kahr or Ruger autos. There are some on this forum that will try to convince you that is shooter error. It is in some cases but not most.

First, please stop firing into your face.
I had a problem Gen 3 G17, documented all my messing with it on here. Final fix, after thousands of rounds and I stopped being stubborn, I pulled the ejector from a Gen 4 trigger housing and put it in the Gen 3 housing in the pistol. End of problem.

Please do have someone else try shooting them and watch and see what happens before you spend any money on parts or a lot of ammo testing.
I swapped every part in that Glock except the slide itself, nothing made it stop, not even a trip back to Glock, until I used the Gen 4 ejector. Then like magic, all my ammo, grip and stance problems vanished and it operates as well as other G17s I may or may not own.

Have you tried the approved Glock shooting grip?

Thanks everyone for the input. Looks like I will go with getting some Gen 4 extractors. Everyone else who has shot the Glocks has had this issue, not just me. The ones that are having the BTF problems were purchased used.... maybe they had a lot more rounds through them than I thought?
I did try to search, but I was on my phone both times. It kept coming up with no results. Maybe I did not word it correctly.

I have not had the issue but I would think if you bend your ejector slightly to the left (shooters perspective). Should make it kick em further to the right.
