Strange all the way around.

Didn't climb out of a window because he's "afraid of bugs"? That must be a pretty strong fear.

I'm guessing there is a lot more to this story than what is being printed.

Step dad kept him locked up in a room until he was 18yo and could throw him out of the house. He did it because it was not his kid and he was jealous. The daughters were not abused because they were his children.

It was only fear of the law that kept him from murdering that boy.

I am wondering why the mother went along with it. It's likely the step-dad was very good at mental abuse to gain control.

If he was pulled from school in the 8th grade and locked up, why did he still have baby teeth then?
