Netflix Instant: Act of Valor

FYI for those with Netflix Instant, Act of Valor was added today to instant streaming...

Netflix instant is for streaming videos...

I called it "instant" since Netflix doesn't really distinguish between streaming and DVD rental unless you log into the site. Once logged in they have a button that allows one to add it to the instant queue or to "watch instantly" if your paying for that service.

Thanks for the tip. That was just in theaters not too long ago.

Great tip - so glad this finally made it to Netflix.

For anyone who wants to keep up with what's just come out, without having to log-in, check out this page:

I wish Netflix would tell you when something new comes out. A lot of good movies came out this week, including Equilibirum - not itself a great movie, but lots of guns.

Caught it out of redbox last month. Good movie, and shows you can have realistic combat tactics without being boring.

Yep, I usually hit up the newly available on instant Instantwatcher page to find the new Netflix content. Was shocked to see Act of Valor listed so soon, much as I was shocked to see Atlas Shrugged Part 1 listed on Mar 08, 2012 for streaming so soon after being in theaters.

thank you, thank you, thank you. a thousand times, thank you! i've always thought netflix's "recently added" section sucked, especially since the pc version is usually a week or 2 behind what's shown on my ps3. i don't know why i never thought to look for an online source like this but i love you (in a strictly hetero way) for showing me the light.

my God this is brilliant.

Beer- I felt the same way when I found the site. For weeks I thought Netflix sucked because of lack of content. Ends up their "predictive" idea of what you want to watch varries way too much.

Check that site every few weeks - it wont tell you everything that is new, but if you watch the top 10/20 you'll notice when other people have found something new.

As an aside, I just finished the movie. Wow...thats really all I can say right now.

Never tried the Netflix thing but after this thread, I signed up for the free trial.

So far, I am pleasantly surprised by the selection in the documentary section. Several things there I want to check out from Nat Geographic and such.

Worked well with my netbook too which is a big plus as I am always on the go to places with a lot of "down" time such as carting my son to guitar practice and band functions.

Didn't see much of a selection when it comes to more recent movies but it was nice watching Act of Valor last night....for like the third time. Great movie even with the acting performances.

I could watch that swift boat extraction scene over and over again.
