The SCLU (Spider Civil Liberties Union) will be protesting this cold blooded murder. The spider was only wanting to be taken somewhere more to it's liking so it can produce more spiders that will only be a drain on welfare paid by the spider taxpayers.

I've done my fair share of creative writing on occasion, but that was pretty good.

Why did he have to use deadly force?
He could have done many different things to resolve the situation better.
He could have talked to the spider in a gentle manner so he won't hurt the spider's self esteem and persuade the spider to squat elsewhere and maybe get some education and a job and buy its own car.
He could have just taken the spider in his cruiser and dropped it off in another jurisdiction.
He could have helped the spider through a tough time because we all know the spider was just turning its life around and trying to connect with its 1,568 hatchling spider babies that never got to know its spider dad before spider dad went to spider jail because the spider man kept him down with racist laws which gave him no chance in life other than to commit spider crimes.
Or... he could have just shot the spider out of the woman's car... but that requires more training on the department's end.

Oh my, I was expecting to read that the Deputy Shot the Arachnid......
Funny story but it could have been EPIC!!!
I know I have a couple Deputies on my team that wouldn't have gotten within twenty feet of a Spider without being armed LOL...

You wait until Al Sharpfang and the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Creepy Pests) get the press involved... or was it National Arachnid Association for Cohabitation Protection?

What the hell is it with you cops here??? Did ANY on you think this through? That spider was packing heat (they all do) plus poison knives, and the LEO could have been hurt or even killed.
He he properly did not take Boris the Spider into cusody because Boris is creepy-crawly, creepy-crawly, creepy-crawly, creepycreepycreepycreepycrawlycrawlycrawlycrawly...

It is clearly a case of officer safety.
Even if you carry two spare sets of cuffs you are pretty well screwed when trying to secure a spider.

And true to form, the good Deputy used his BUG (back-up gauze) instead of his empty primary.
