Safariland 6378
Mine came in the mail today. I purchased one to replace my issued Serpa.
I love it, it feels more sturdy and well made, it takes up less space on my belt, sits more secure, and most importantly when I draw I don't have to re-adjust my grip. With the Serpa there was a lot of space between my hand and the tang.
Only down side is the getting used to the location of the locking lever. My thumb naturally sits there, but there have been times I have missed it while practicing my draw. But, I am off tomorrow so I am going to spend a lot of the day practicing.
I love this holster! Wish I would have done this sooner. Now if my light would just get here....

Good choice, I am not a fan at all of the Serpa holsters, especially their duty holsters.
I am still carrying in a 6070 but the ALS holsters are nice.

Been carrying a 6378 for a few years now. Love it. Have it for my G27 (which I carry normally in my current gig) and also for my G22 with tac light. My duty holster is the same set up for my G22. The holsters are fast, durable, and I really like the ALS system so it's immediately secured upon reholstering.
While I like the Serpa holsters too, beause we issue Safariland ALS holsters for duty wear, we typically recommend the Safariland 6378 or something like it to keep the drawing system the same for off duty/plain clothes wear.

Love my 6360 holster too. I too am waiting for a light.
Sent from my Federation issued communicator.

So I'm officially a Safariland fan boy. My 6378 for the 27 came in today.
I left the paddle attachment on this one. It feels like the belt attachment is on. Shoot, the paddle feels better than the belt attachment on the Serpa!

Actually right now I have one of those cheap Nebo lights from Wally World. It fits in there but the only drawback if you want to call it that is when the pistol is pulled from the holster the light automatically comes on. This will work until I get my TRL light for it for sometime this week or next.

Ok, good to know. Mine is supposed to get here on Friday. I may pick up a nebo until then.
I don't want to carry w/out a light, it's probably not going to be a problem but still. It's making my OCD act up.

Gah!!! I have to go back to the friggen serpa!
I HATE that holster. FML...
Oh well, it could be worse. I still have a job and if the only thing I'm complaining about is the holster I guess it's not that bad.

Yup! Came down this morning at 0630. So I can either ditch my light or buy another serpa for the light

FYI, SERPAs only work with the Blackhawk brand weapon light. It won't lock up right with a TLR or other light.

Watch the 6378 in Action!
It looks like it would be really comfortable sitting in a vehicle, or even in a chair.

Ehh, in the bigger picture its really no biggie. I may get to use it yet.
I really did appreciate the heads up, I would have wasted HOURS looking for a holster that didn't exist.

That is grounds for discrimination.

If you want ammo for an argument for allowing the 6378 you could point to the directive from FLETC prohibiting the use of SERPA holsters.

Blackhawk has a new duty holster coming out apparently named the Epoch. Supposedly it will be compatible with several different lights and have a different retention system than the Serpa. I LOVE my 6360 but the Serpa draw impressed me enough that I'll be checking the Epoch out when it debuts.

Thanks guys. I have a little something planned. I'll see how it pans out.
I'll look into this new holster, maybe the agency will pick it up.
