Where is Jesse Jackson Jr.?

Where is Jesse Jackson Jr.?

Quote:
His name is on the ballot. But Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. hasn't made a campaign appearance since the primary.

The Democratic congressman from Chicago is running for re-election for his seat in the House of Representatives, but has been out of sight for the last three months, being treated for bipolar disorder.

Campaign advisers told the New York Times, which noted that the campaign's office was locked shut, that the candidate is waiting for the doctor's approval to campaign again.

The son of Rev. Jesse Jackson was expected to win the election easily, but the Washington Post reports he is trying voters' patience while he remains a patient.

He hasn't been in Washington in months - hasn't cast a vote. He should be removed from office and his pay cut off! He's unfit to do his duties! Just like his name sake he wants the paycheck without the work that goes with it!

Why does he need to show up? Can't you tell his opponent is a white guy? Probably had somethin' to do with asking New Orleans for their dollar.

At this point, he's probably got some serious mental health issues whether bipolar or a major depressive disorder. Allegedly he's been undergoing treatment. If the treatment hasn't returned him to enough functionality to appear before a camera, then he may have some other serious mental health problem. Congress is an employer like any other employer and probably has policies to deal with health related absences. But since he is a publicly elected official, he owes it to his constituents to provide adequate representation or resign if he can't do the job.

In all likelihood you are correct, yet, Jackson is a Democrat and there's certifiable Pelosi still rattling about... and Unca Joe, VP.

Looks like his handlers are keeping him in the coo coo's nest until he wins his pay check for a few more years. His riding is used to getting no representation. You get the Government you deserve.

I for one do. He is one of five hundred and thirty six that can really screw up your life. If he is unavailable for comment or to do his damn job he needs removed.

Hogwash. They screw up our lives by doing their jobs (or, more accurately, what they perceive their jobs to be). The less Jesse Jackson Jrs that show up for work, the better. It may seem "unfair" that he gets paid for doing nothing, but fairness has nothing to do with anything. When it comes down to it, the rest of us are better off with him being MIA.

In the ghetto where he belongs. Any offspring from the loins of his father is destined to have the designation of Rev. in front of his name.

Since he was accused of being one of the people negotiating with Gov. Blagojevich for the purchase of a senate seat and Blagojevich is now serving a 14 year sentence, I wonder if Mr. Jackson Jr's mental illness is actually a ploy to avoid prosecution?
