I've tried their system, and all I can say is - I WAANTS ONE!!!
It works as advertised, and you'd be amazed on how ingenious the system is.....

The parts are made in America, but to FERFRANS specs....the name stands for the makers of the system, and they are both definitely Pinoy!!!

AFAIK, they don't sell to civilians, only law enforcement agencies and military units. But I heard that if they did sell to civilians, it would favor comparably with other brand name systems.

Yes the reason I brought it up again was they were featured in ABS CBN news.
I think they developed it but it is manufactured in the US. Unfortunately they don't have much exposure but I can see contracts coming in. Do you think they can go head to head with the major brands in the US? I can see politics behind contract and selection. Makita lang na gawang Pinoy inferior na.

I hope I don't sound like a prick and I definitely respect your opinion and don't want to argue with you, sir, but i have to disagree with you on this. Weight is comparable to just about any tricked out M4, and it really isn't all that bad. It may also sound noisy, but not as bad as some systems I've tried...and the silencer that FERFRANS makes for its system is effective....
I'm not a professional, but I'm just looking at it from my perspective as an LEO...it is a viable system, which is why I would recommend it....

Noveske is a better choice. Ferfrans soar is basically a Stag Arm with a different BCG.

Perhaps it is, sir. And I do agree with you that Noveske is a kick-ass system, especially the ones I've seen and handled.
All things considered, you still can't go wrong with Ferfrans. It may just be another re-branded M4, but you have to admit, the system is genius, and I'm digging the fact that a Filipino (actually, two Filipinos) thought it up.
To each his own, I suppose...but I would just say that you should give Ferfrans a chance. Who knows? You may find something with it, just like I did, or you may not, but at least try it out and see how it compares based on your experiences with other M4s.
P.S. I'm not a spokesman nor do i receive anything in return for praising Ferfrans. On the contrary, I'm just stating my opinions based on my experience with the guns, which is definitely positive!

Ferfrans use the M4/M16/AR platform which was developed by Eugene Stoner, contrary to what they are trying to impress. The only thing that is Ferfran in their system is the BCG.
Their rate reduction BCG is only usefull in full auto mode.
Their BCG while effective in reducing the rate of fire has more parts (moving parts), therefore more prone to break/malfunction (?).
The M16 BCG is already battle tested, Their BCG (?).
Their barrel (Stag Arms) is 4150 steel (not milspec), is not a good choice for full auto mode.
With regards to Majinkong comment na mabigat and noisy.
Ferfrans is loud because of the compensator.
If configured to the same spec (same buttstock, hanguard, compensator/flash hider), the weight and noise should be the same. The difference in BCG should not make a significant weight change.

I've talked with Francis Sy, and as far as I can tell, he wasn't trying to impress anything other than having developed a system that would reduce the rate of fire of the typical M4/M16, thereby contributing to longevity and user friendliness.
The system actually works whether in auto or semi mode. In semi-mode, it seemed softer to fire. Again, just my opinion. As far as the make up of the BCG, the way Ferfrans put in their RRS greatly reduces the chance of breakage and malfunctions. If it does break, it appears that you would only use the rate reduction but you could still use the weapons system. Granted, we did not do any destruction testing on his personal weapons.
Their systems are currently being used by the PNP-SAF, and I haven't really heard any complaints from them regarding it.
I'm no weapons expert, again, just speaking from experience. But although we did not do any destruction testing, I personally fired off at least 500 rounds off of the Ferfrans system in a relatively short time span. Whatever materials they may be using, just from what we've experienced, I believe the system will work, and if we ever adapt it, we will be adapting an ingenious Pilipino design that is recognized by the US as being an innovative way to getting around the shortcomings of the M16/M4 system.

Ferfrans only manufactures the buffer that slows the rate of fire of the rifle. They are not the manufacturers or even the assemblers of the upper receiver. The upper receiver is put together by M2 Corp. Yes,the buffer system is Filipino made, but the rest is an amalgamation of foreign made and foreign assembled parts.

Ferfrans would probably get more support if they did not ignore the enthusiast market, hell we probably spend more on guns than the government does. Gobyerno one time big time after that bala na lang. Enthusiast market basta malingat si misis andoon sa true weight nag shoshopping.
