I Finally Got a Black Rifle...
After many years, I finally pulled the trigger. *pun intended*
Colt 6920
Now, the never ending process of upgrading parts begins...

Excellent choice. What upgrades are you considering?

I have recently started thinking of getting one myself. I need to learn how to run one first.

The only changes I made to my 6920 was a Hogue grip and a X300 Surefire light.
Other than that, I don't see a need for anything else.

I'm considering a ton, but these are going to come first:
1) PMAGS! PMAGS! PMAGS!
2) BCMGUNFIGHTER Charging Handle (Mod 3)
3) .22LR Conversion Kit or Dedicated Upper

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that modifying your rifle will result in improvement in function. Seems that everyone buys a firearm and immediately starts changing it. Spend money on ammunition and range fees. Your competency with it will be improved with practice and not bells and whistles (optics excluded).

Not just any black rifle, one of the best. Congrats, you are going to love it. Take this advice from me, shoot it a bunch and then figure out what you want. If you decide you want an optic, save and buy a quality one in the first place. Nice rifle.
Edit- the .22 conversion kits kinda suck, my friends have have had nothing but problems with theirs.

I agree, I probably should have used something other then "upgrade". It's going to be a slow process anyway, mostly because of the cost of optics etc.

I have seen many reviews, some people love them and some hate 'em. I used one last week and it worked flawlessly. I'm just not sure if I want to get a conversion or go with a dedicated upper...

Congratulations!! I made that move a couple of years ago and I still can't keep my hands off it. But put me in the group with the guys that leave it stock. I don't even have a scope on mine. It was kinds fun gettin' back in to shootin' with military sights again.....after 46 years.

While I think that is the better option...it would be nice to use whatever setup I eventually have with both calibers. Switching out optics and other accessories would be a pain.
