Prayers For My Mother
Prayers and good thoughts for my mom would be appreciated. Two weeks ago my Mother had surgery for pancreatic cancer a procedure called the Whipple. Everything that could go right went right. No spread of the cancer and they were able to get it all with clean margins.
That's the good news. That night after the surgery she suffered two heart attacks. Now they have discovered that she will require triple bypass which is scheduled for this coming Monday.
Mom is 70 years old and tough as nails but I'm worried. Please send out your prayers for Her.

Prayers sent for y'all.
My dad had the Whipple in December at UAB. The surgery went great and the Dr said it was the smallest tumor that he had removed (9mm). He was in and out of the hospital for 6 weeks due to complications, mostly is gut not "waking back up". When it did wake up, he improved greatly. Now, he has gained his weight back and is back to normal.
Again, I'm praying for all of you.

Best wishes for a complete recovery. It's great they were able to get all the cancer, and if you've got to go and have a heart attack, the hospital is certainly the best place to do it!
My mom most likely had one right after her cancer surgery, but it was minor enough that they only found it on a later EKG. I clearly recall her telling them that she had chest pain and the doc looking at the monitors and saying " oh no, everything is fine, it's just the morphine".

Well they had to postpone the bypass surgery due to a rupture of part of the original incision from the Whipple. They are treating her at Vanderbilt for that and hope to be able to do the bypass sometime next week. Luckily there was no infection in the incision.
Here we go again, hurry up and wait.

I sure will include your Mom in my evening prayer.
Mine is 71 and struggling with some health issues as well (for a long time), so that prayer will be for our Moms tonight.

I sincerely hope all goes well for your Mom. God Bless her.
Mine passed away unexpectedly at 40 yo. My folks were divorced when I was 12, and I had just found her a few weeks before she passed. I miss her like it was yesterday.
