Thinning the Herd
Well guys, I have made a decision to thin out my collection and that includes the bulk of my 1911s. I know some of you are probably dropping your lower jaw about now. Sometimes we have to do what we need to do. I will still keep some things for posterity reasons. If there is anyone who is looking for something in particular, drop me an e-mail. Just so everyone knows, I am NOT giving anything away. Everything will be sold at a fair market value. Shipping cost will fall on the buyer. I would prefer not to have any tire kickers. If anyone is serious and needs pics of certain things, I will be more than happy to provide them. I look forward to hearing from a few of you soon.
James

I have thinned the heard a number of times, and damn if that heard does not end up growing again I hope it works out for you, nothing wrong with it IMO.

Lots of people selling these days. I just re-bought my DW CCO back from Dave at DRC Firearms today that I had traded him awhile back. Been "trying" to sell my hardchromed Guncrafter Model 1 .50GI, but it is to help fund another gun and it's just a gun that doesn't ever get shot and see's life as a safe queen. I see ALOT of nice guns being sold these days. Are people struggling from the economy? Did people "over buy" during the 1911 bicentennial? What gives with all the selling lately?

Sad to hear this James, better post a group picture before you start letting them go.

Probably tough economy in most cases, I know for me this is the first time in quite a while that I've been completely out of the market for any new guns. I don't think I'll be selling anything, but this is the first time I've ever really considered it.

I told someone earlier in a PM that I would have some reluctancy letting that one go. I have never seen another one. It is one of the most beautiful 1911A1s I have ever seen. The stainless finish is flawless. I could not even bring myself to shoot it for fear I may get a scratch on it. I told this other person that I would probably not let it go for less than $2K. I figure if I sell it at that price, great. If it does not sell, then I am meant to have ownership. If you are interested, drop me an e-mail. It is good to hear from you. It has been too long.

Post a pic of the Shadow. I don't know what they are. Sounds like a nice gun though.

They were made in CA a while back for a short time.
You never see them for sale anywhere.
