G27 Holster for G39?
All:
Apologies if this has been covered. It looks like the G39 shares the same exterior dimensions as the G27. Will most IWB holsters made for the G27 also work with the G39?
Or, is there some reason they are not compatible? Thx!

Only the frame is the same size. The slide is as thick as the G30, and I share both IWB & OWB holsters with the G39.

I have 2 holsters for my G27: a full kydex Uncle Mike's, and a leather/kydex hybrid Crossbreed Super Tuck.
I tried my ill-fated G38 in both before it got squibbed; the kydex being too tight. But the CBST is flexible enough to allow the larger slide g37-39 sized weapon to slide in, the flexibility of the leather back allowing enough pressure to hold the GAP weapon in the holster.

Like ADK said it will fit in my Crossbreed but it's tight. I ended up getting a White Hat for my GAP gun(s) .

My Milt Sparks VM2 (originally purchased for my old G23) works perfectly with my G38.
My Tommy Theis holsters as well.

So- The answer is, "maybe."
I had forgotten that the width measurement doesn't mean slide width. I was assuming that I needed to be looking more at the .45 ACP-glocks to find something compatible for the G39.
I have ordered a couple that didn't work well, and I'm getting sick of paying return postage.
Thx!

The ones that work for my G39 are from Comp-Tac for the G29/G30 models:
MTAC (IWB)
International (OWB)

A lot depend on the type of holster, but chances are NO. The 39 will work in a holster for a 29 and 30 though.

My G39 has its own G39 holsters.
The 37 and 38 share the same Alessi CQC-S holster as my 20 and 21, other than the VM2.
Now even I'm confused.

I use G39 specific holsters from Blade-Tech. Check them out at www.blade-tech.com

The IWB holster I have that was made for my G27 would not fit the G39, "she was a bit thicker". So I sent it back for a resize and fits like a champ now.
