Interesting. There is not a ton of info in the blotter so I hate to judge the guy. If the guy was in fear for his safety, I can see him drawing down on the guy. The problem is that once the guy left the scene and the Good Samaritan followed him, he shouldn't break leather on the guy. You should always call the police right away and start getting an info trail to back up your position.

Without more information, the question that comes to my mind is "what we're you thinking"?

Stopping to help a stranger at 3:45AM?

Following someone to another location and pulling a gun?

What would have happened if the "weird guy" had decided to attack the good guy?

Use your mind and cell phone or better still, go home and let people take care of themselves.

Why did the Hummer driver try to act like a cop after the incident was over? He deserves to lose his CCW licence IMHO.
