What's the PPR you typically buy5.56/223?
How good of a deal are you getting on 556/223?
I recently purchased a 100rd box of federal 223 at walmart for about .35 per round.
Also just bought some american eagle 5.56 for .40 a round.
What kind of prices per round are you guys getting locally or online?
I've seen some once fired brass on ammotogo for about .35 per round, but nothing drastically better.

Last time I bought 223 was a few years ago from Cabelas. It was 25 cents per round shipped. I reload it for 20 cents a round and when I saw I could get it for 25 cents a round I stopped reloading it. Saving 5 cents a round wasn't worth my trouble to reload it. But now that I see the prices have gone up maybe I'll start reloading it again
I think I'm down to a couple hundred rounds if that. One good thing for reloaders is that everyone at the range now sports an AR, so brass is plentiful and free.

That's why I always drink before I shoot, keeps me from thinking about spending a buck every 3-4 trigger pulls.

Lol.
The cost of ammo is the only reason I haven't bought a slide fire yet.

My local shop had X-TAC 1000 round case for $300. I should have bought more, but this will last me 1-2 years.

When I'm really old I'll be able to tell my grandkids how when I first started shooting we got .223 for $0.12 a round. By that time they will pay more per bullet they fire out of their rail guns.

I've been buying at around .30-.32/round. Last batch I bought was .32 a couple months ago. I pretty much only buy XM193 or Federal black box.

Ammoseek.com is another good ammo search engine.
