New 50th Annivesary Wasr-10/63

Just got my 1st AK!! Hopefully things are good. From just picking it up it looks GREAT!! Nice deeply stained cherrywood furniture as well. I KNOW some of you guys are gonna knock it being considered by some to be a Romanian P.O.S. but it's a relatively cheap investment on my part to own a cool platform.
It came with:
-2 Tapco Waffle mags
-Bayonet with sheath

The sights, gas tube, are NOT canted. Mags fit snug, with not hardly any wobble. The internals even look clean. It has the military surplus etching on it as well. It wasn't covered in goo cosmoline either... This is the 1st riffle of any kind I've owned... Well see how it goes!

Looks good!

I have a SAR and early WASR, and both have been good guns and good shooters.

I stand corrected I don't have 2 tapco mags... One is fully metal rubbed mag, has a thin coat of oil and has very slight wobble... But very negligible...

Here's a pic with the Tapco Inserted...

The finish looks a lot better than any WASR I own (when I bought them). Interesting.

Nice rifle! I owned a wasr once years ago & wish i still had it. Glad to hear you knew what to check for when selecting. I bet she'll run just fine!

Almost bought one when Classic had them, for only $20 more than the regular ones, on the theory that Century would ensure those were nice ones. Looks like that's the case alright. Good score.
