Want a Colt 6920....
I figure now is the time to buy. My only dilemma is $$. I do have a HK USP Tactical that I could part with to help with the cost. I never shoot the HK and I guess i'm just a little worried that AR's may disappear or go up in cost. I'm torn. Thoughts?

Obama couldn't get any support back in April 2009 for an assault weapons ban when the Dems had complete control of Congress. He couldn't get any support for a gun ban when Hillary lied about US guns & Mexican gun crime. Obama couldn't get a ban when Gabby was shot.
The GOP will control Congress come Nov even if Obama wins. There's no gun bans in our future. Obama's comments lately are merely pandering to his left wing base.
While there IS a run on guns in Colorado, I doubt we'll see the price gouging across the country like we did when Obama was elected. Doesn't seem to be a shortage of guns right now.

Thanks for the response. Informative to say the least.
My LGS is pushing AR's like no other, but thats their job. Guess I was just looking for both sides of the story.
Still don't know if I should ditch the HK...

If Romney wins I suspect there will be a huge glut of firearms on the market next year and prices will be VERY attractive. That's an open question though at this point.

Yeah, that has me conflicted. I don't think either candidate represents my moderate views. Obama is left, Romney is both far left and far right.
Romney is not good for anybody but the upper tier in $. So as a middle class chump, I'm conflicted. I want an AR  .

I am having the same dilema....get a 6920 or not. You are right about price though....they ain't cheap!

Psstt...I heard from my cousin's husband's brother's sister-in-law that the UN bill will pass and the Blue Helmets are coming.
I have a sweet ass MAK-90 with pistol grip conversion for sales for ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Want it? Better get it before Obama/UN gets it. I'd even throw in twenty banana clips for free.

I have one, and it is good. I only have one AR, and I only wanted one AR, so I thought why not get the best. I have had no problems with the gun itself. Not a huge fan of the genre, but it runs like a champ.

Whenever I see or hear the UN story about some worldwide gun control all I have to do is look at the un-armed "peace keepers" in Syria or wherever and feel a sigh of relief.
Hopefully if they do try something they will start in Palestine or Somalia and see that it ain't gonna work!
Prices on guns just like everything else will continue to rise. Right now WM has the 6920 LE M4 for under $1100 and think it was SGArms has them even cheaper. Buy now or just pay a bit more later.
Least get some magazines for one. At the least I can see a restriction on those one day again.

What are you torn about? I think you just answer your own question from the above statements. Now really is the time to buy, don't worry about $$ you can make more later, go get one now and put it on your credit card and don't look back.
PS. Don't get too wrap up on what's gonna happen in November or what politicians have to say. You want a Colt 6920, please go get one today. And don't forget to take some pictures.

Well then, I say, sell it and get the Colt IF you'll shoot it. If it is just to have and to hold, maybe not.
Personally, I'd look around to see what other things I could sell off in the garage or basement or wherever that have some value and that I no longer use or really want before I'd part with the HK. Old bikes, tools, household appliances, car parts, etc that are just gathering dust and might bring in a buck or three.

I traded off a USP Custom Combat .40S&W for an AR15 not that long ago.
The best pistol in the world is a piece of garbage compared to a mid range AR. If you don't shoot it and aren't attached to it, go for it.

Prices for the 6920 are about as low as you will see them. I'm adding one just to squirrel away for when my kiddo gets older or "just because." Dropping daily lattes and bought lunches paid for this one.

Don't worry about any government intervention. Anything related to restricting AR's won't happen for quite some time. You have at least 9 months.
On the other hand, if you get one, let us see some pictures!
