I think the Ruger Scout will be my next rifle. I've wanted one for quite a while now and like the concept. I don't see why it wouldn't be a good rifle for what it's designed for... let us know how you like it. What kind of scope are you going to run on it?

I'm not sure on the scope. Any suggestions?

I picked up one recently too, inn still trying to decide on a scope. I would love to get a scout scope that can co witness my irons.

This is the setup I would get if I were to ever get a Scout.

There are 3 common choices...the fixed Leupold, fixed Burris and the 2-7x Leatherwood.

My factory mag sucks, but the polymer mag feeds smooth as silk.

I've had mine for nearly a year. It's replaced every other rifle in my cabinet when I go out in the woods. Hard to beat the capaciity, size and rugged design of the Scout. I pulled the iron rear sight off and mounted a Nikon 3-9X40 scope on it.

It's far and away my favorite rifle.
