I think the Ruger Scout will be my next rifle. I've wanted one for quite a while now and like the concept. I don't see why it wouldn't be a good rifle for what it's designed for... let us know how you like it. What kind of scope are you going to run on it?

I picked up one recently too, inn still trying to decide on a scope. I would love to get a scout scope that can co witness my irons.

There are 3 common choices...the fixed Leupold, fixed Burris and the 2-7x Leatherwood.

My factory mag sucks, but the polymer mag feeds smooth as silk.

I've had mine for nearly a year. It's replaced every other rifle in my cabinet when I go out in the woods. Hard to beat the capaciity, size and rugged design of the Scout. I pulled the iron rear sight off and mounted a Nikon 3-9X40 scope on it.
It's far and away my favorite rifle.
