Question for you website building experts?

Ok, say I built my own website using webs.com for free. SO that means my websites URL says www.example.webs.com

Say I also already own a domain name that I bought from network solutions that says www.example.com (minus the webs part)

Now say I want to make business cards that say www.example.com? Not www.example.webs.com

Is it as simple as I have read? Do I just need to forward and mask the two URL's? Or are there any hidden issues that might pop up if I do this?

Has to do with Google Apps, but same premise.
