Something about the older Glocks without the finger grooves, that just feels better in the hand. Anyone else out here like your Gen2 better than the Gen4?

You are so right!!! When it comes to the compacts(19 and 23) nothing feels better than the Gen 2. I just traded a Gen3 23 for a like new 2 letter prefix Gen2 23. I now have 3 Gen2 23's to go with my 3 Gen2 19's and 2 Gen1 17's!

I currently own three Gen 2s, REALLY like the no finger groove option. I have owned two Gen 4s, really liked the smaller grip option. Have owned six Gen 3s, liked them also.

I like the Glock 19 period. But currently, the no finger option gets the nod.

For my 50th birthday next year, I am thinking of sending a 3rd Gen 19 to Bowie Tactical and having a grip reduction and finger groove removal done. It might just be the perfect 19 (at least in my eyes )

I had a G19 Gen3 with a custom grip reduction, as a matter of fact I currently have two Glocks with grip reductions, love them both - but I still think the G19 Gen2 is the way to go - my experience has been, grip reductions kills collect ability and resale - the Gen4 is the best grip reduction on the planet today and I place the G19 Gen4 at the top of my list. Hope this helps.

I too like the Gen 2 pistols. My G19 and G23 are Gen 2's, and I've owned two other Gen 2 G19's in addition to the two pistols above.
