First time Glocker, Long time Shooter
Hello!
I have recently acquired my first glock, a 26. Is being smitten with a weapon a mental condition? I love the thing and am kicking myself for waiting this long to take the leap.
IMO its perfect. It fits my hand like a glove, i dont miss the pinky grip, and it runs flawlessly (so far, im only 300 rounds into it in the last week).
Basically, all of the review youtube videos i watched on it, minus a few, were wrong. You dont need pierce grips, extended slide releases, hogue slip on grips, crimson trace lasers, polish jobs, etc. PLus, if i hear one more chubby individual complain about the circumference of the grip, while desperately trying to get his fingertips around it, im going to launch my computer out of a window. THATS YOUR faulty feature NOT the guns. My 110 LB girlfriend's hands fit the grip for christs sake!
Anyhow, im past the youtube, mall ninja, "video review" phase, and am looking forward to having intelligent conversations with like minded individuals.

You could do your own youtube review about how all the others don't speak for everyone and the gun is perfect, even if some detracters are too big for themselves.

Welcome. I'm with you, nothing wrong with the stock 26 (or any other stock Glock for that matter).

Box stock Glocks are just fine. Especially for cc. Range guns are great to trick out but I like my EDC as it came from the factory.

I have to admit to one modification. I put skateboard grip tape made by talon on the grip to keep it from shooting out of my sweaty hand like a wet bar of soap. The range is a consistent 80 deg and I'm sure the humidity is at least 75-80. This is only to prevent my own embarrassment, and the few dreaded shots I may need the weapon in real world use, the stock grip would work just fine.
