PayPal Sucks!

Today I was called by a paypal employee. He informed me that my account was being limited (frozen) because they suspected I had sold something they deemed inappropriate (Glock)!! They told me my only way to release my account was to comply with there policies and acknowledge there form before they would release my money! They held my money because they did not like something I had for sale! What the hell is this socialist company doing in my life! Now, nothing because i dumped them forever. I would suggest you do the same before they freeze your paypal account because they don't like what you sell. They own ebay as well and they have the same policies. So to anyone who did not know this your in for a rude awakening if you think these two companies are not watching you. They actually went out on the internet and found this web site and other web sites I have visited and told me I had to delete all my posts before they would give me my money. Who here thinks paypal and ebay should avoided at all cost's? Quote (After a recent review of your account activity, it has been determined that
you are in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy regarding your sales. Under the Acceptable Use Policy, PayPal at its discretion, may not be used
to send or receive payments for (this list includes but isn't limited to)
ammunition, firearms, certain firearm parts or accessories, or certain
weapons or knives regulated under applicable law. For a more complete list,
please see our Help Centre on firearms and weapons.)

It's widely known not to use Paypal for firearm transactions. Some people risk it and get bit, but shouldn't be surprised.

I agree. Even though you can sneak one in from time to time they are "Net Nazis". Have to stay away from them.

Been there, had it done to me a few years ago my friend, same *****. :(

LUCKILY at the time I was using a different bank for my PP account (for my fun $$) from the bank I have my checking with, so there were never any issues with screwing up the house hold budget. So when they did it to me I had next to NO balance in the PP bank account, and all they got was like $0.30 - hahahahahahah on them. I told them they could have it and choke on it then!

Anywho, unfortunately PP is about a damn near necessary evil for online transactions now, so I still need to have an account w/ them. PP literally told me themselves that MAYBE (wink, wink, hint, hint) if I made a new PP account w/ a new PP user name, new email, new CC, and new bank number they would never put 2 and 2 together and tie it to my old account (???).

In the end that is what I did, I actually switched banks and just opened a second account at the same bank that I use ONLY for PP, and can transfer $$ into from my PC or phone if needed. If they do it again, they'll get nothing AGAIN. This is what I recommend, and as you now know, DON'T buy anything gun related w/ PP!!! :(

The other nice thing is anyone who takes PP now online, when you go to do a payment through them it usually asks you (the vendor, like e-bay for example) if you have a PP account - say "NO" and it WILL let you pay w/ a debt or CC card directly then through PP, w/o having to use your PP account.

I do this now for purchases, and ONLY use my PP account if I need to collect funds from someone.

Sucks, but just like having to use Windows, what else are you going to do (for most people) ??
